In divergent, tris ( I think her name is) has just had to play along with four that they are also under the syrem even though they’re not. They have had to fight people that they liked to make it believable. And her mum has just died by her side protecting her

Library Lesson Wednesday 24th February.
Hi Year 8
Post a line from the chapter of a book you are reading and tell me why it's an interesting line.
I am reading a murder mystery book by Anthony Horowitz called 'The Moonflower Murders' - an interesting line is when a couple spot a man who is angry and say 'he had murder in his eyes' - this implies he is going to murder someone but it could be a red herring (Google red herring if you don't know what this means)
Posted by Mr S Blank, 24/02/2021 at 13:51
i dont have an iteresting line yet because i have only just started reading it but it is called legacy

Posted by DB:Cloud:DB:SchoolBasestu:4297, 24/02/2021 at 14:21
“We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.” i really like this line from divergent because this is just before four stands up for beatrice and tells her to go along with it.
Posted by Alice Jones, 24/02/2021 at 14:22
That's a great line Alice - standing up for someone is a brave thing to do definitely.
Posted by Mr S Blank, 24/02/2021 at 14:23
I don’t have an interesting line but my book is called Thief.
Posted by Scarlett Golborne, 24/02/2021 at 14:26

Infernal devices
Posted by DB:Cloud:DB:SchoolBasestu:3859, 24/02/2021 at 16:35
it's by Philip Reeve and an interesting line is
'Above the mountains, colder yet, the stars were coming out, and the things that were not stars, the dead satellites and orbital platforms of the Ancients, danced their own slow dance in heaven.'
It is set in the distant future.
